My Bio

R.I.O.T was created in the beginning of 2006. 3 out of 4 members of Mind Conspiracy created a band for a music competition, the band was called R.I.O.T. We created a song and played it and we were stuck. Our music blew our minds off and we wanted to continue. We realized that Mind Conspiracy's time was up when there was no spark left. We had a gig or two with R.I.OT until it was time to record our first demo. "Dead by natural causes" was recorded in just one day. The day before, Pontus hit a wall with his fist in anger which resulted in him breaking his finger, and Jakob recorded the vocals at 2 am. But only a broken finger and little time won't stop us from rocking though, so we managed to record 4 songs that day. We continued rocking and practicing, had a couple of shows, and wrote some more songs. In autumn 2006, we went to "Hulebäcksstudion", which is a studio at our gymnasium. We recorded all music (3 songs) in a couple of hours, then we started to get the solos and singing recorded. When everything was recorded, we started to mix our songs at the school's computers. Each member mixed one song, and after half a year (we could only work on mondays in the beginning, that's why it took so much time this run) we were done with our second album "We are RIOT". This was also the time when we decided to change from Riot to R.I.O.T., since we discovered another band from the 80's called Riot, which released a new CD at the end of 2006. So we changed our name and kept on rocking, as we always do.
