Is this only available for the U.S?
Anyone anywhere can sell their content on Mamogo. Currently however, the ability to purchase content is only available to major U.S. mobile carrier customers. Other regions are in the works and will be added soon. So don't worry if you’re outside of the U.S, you'll have your own Mamogo soon!
Does this really work?
YES! Anyone who works hard to produce quality work will be a success. Keep your content fresh and watch it sell!
What are Credits and what are they used for?
Credits are currency on Mamogo. You can use them to Upgrade your listing. You can also convert your Actual Earnings into Credits.
So how do I start selling?
To start selling all you need is to sign up for a free account and some content. Next, just upload your Content into your Content Crate and it is automatically for sale on the Mamogo Marketplace. That's it!
What measures does Mamogo take to ensure my rights as owner of my mobile content?
Mamogo has provided a feature for marking specific pieces of content as inappropriate. Also, please read section 5.D of the Terms & Conditions for details regarding copyright content Terms & Conditions Section 5.D
What exactly is MAMOGO?
Mamogo is a mobile marketplace where you can buy or sell mobile content. If you have created your own Ringtones, Wallpapers, Screensavers or Videos you can put them up for sale. It's easy, FREE and anyone can do it!
How much does it cost?
It is FREE to join and costs nothing extra to upload your 20 pieces of content. All you need is an email address.




Do I need to enter my credit card information?
The only time you require a credit card is if you want to purchase Credits. Your credit card information is stored in My Mamogo > My Account > General Info.
I have Earnings, why am I not being paid?
There are a few possible reasons that you have not been paid:
  1. You have not earned the Actual Earnings minimum of $10.00
    In order to be paid you have to have a minimum of $10.00 in your Actual Earnings.
  2. You have not entered your Paypal inforamtion
    You MUST have a Paypal Account in order to be paid from Mamogo. You can enter your Paypal email address on the 'Earnings' page or in 'My Account'.
  3. You have nor 'Requested' a Payout
    In order to be paid you must request to be paid. You can find this in My Mamogo > My Selling Tools > Earnings & Reports > Earnings. There is a section called 'Request Payout' where you enter the amount you would like to be paid out, $10.00 being the minimum.
How do I get paid?
Mamogo pays you through Paypal. You MUST have a Paypal account to be paid from Mamogo. To get paid you must do the following:
  1. Enter your Paypal email address. If you don't have one you will need to get one. You can get one at www.paypal.com
  2. Have the minimum Actual Earnings of $10.00.
  3. You must 'Request a Payout'. You can find this in My Mamogo > My Selling Tools > Earnings & Reports > Earnings. There is a section called 'Request Payout' where you enter the amount you would like to be paid out, $10.00 being the minimum.
  4. Click the 'Request Payout' button.
I have Requested a Payout, why I have I still not been paid?
Your payment may have been declined for a number of reasons. You would have received an email notification of declined payout. Please follow the instructions within that email for further details.




What is a Wallpaper?
A Wallpaper is an image that goes on the background of a mobile phone screen. Mamogo provides guidelines to easily create your own Wallpapers!
How many pieces of content can I have in my Content Inventory?
You are allowed a maximum of 20 pieces of content in your Content Inventory at once. That is the total of Market and Private Use items combined. If you are at the 20 piece limit and you want to upload something new, you will have to remove one of the pieces currently in your Content Inventory.
What exactly does "Private Use Only" mean?
Content that is for "Private Use Only" is content that is no longer for sale on the Marketplace. It is only available for you to download.
Why is my Content marked as Withdrawn?
Content will be Withdrawn from the Marketplace if it is does not sell within the first 90 days of being uploaded. After its first sale it needs to be sold at least once every 120 days. Once a piece of content is Withdrawn it cannot be sold on the Marketplace again. Mamogo does this to ensure we have the freshest, most appealing work available.
What is an 'Upgrade' to your Content listing?
When your Content is for sale, it appears in the Mamogo Marketplace. Not only does it appear as a thumbnail but also with a name, price, rating etc. This is known as a listing. On Mamogo you pay credits to 'Upgrade' your listings to make them more attractive to potential buyers. There are all kinds of Upgrades from changing the appearance to be more eye-catching to having your listing Featured throughout the web site.
How can my Content be deemed inappropriate?
When a user clicks the link and tells us why they think the content should be removed, we receive a notification. If we determine that the content violates our Terms & Conditions, we will remove the content. Note that only the content owner will receive email notification if Mamogo decides to remove their content.
To help us keep up with the review process, please only report items that you believe are harmful, inappropriate, or illegal. If you are reporting an item that you believe is infringing a copyright you own, please follow the detailed instructions we provide in Section 5D of the Terms & Conditions.
What is the Content Inventory?
The Content Inventory is where the content you created and uploaded is stored and managed.
What is the 'Report As Inappropriate' link next to content items?
If you see a photo or other art that we should investigate, please let us know. Click the 'Report As Inappropriate' link on the page you are concerned about, and the content will be marked for review. Mamogo does not actively review content during upload. As you can imagine, it would be nearly impossible to keep up with all the new items. Additionally, reviewing newly posted content would dampen the experience of uploading and sharing your items instantly. If you see a particular piece of content that violates our Terms and Conditions such as nudity or violence, please click the 'Report As Inappropriate' link. This lets us know that we should review the item.
What is a Full Length Track?
A Full Length Track is basically an MP3 that you can listen to on your phone but not use as a Ringtone. Mamogo makes it easy for you to upload Full Length Tracks and listen to them on your phone. Please check your phone capability for more details.
How can I get Private Content onto my phone?
To get a Private piece of Content, click on that items' 'Get Code' button located on the main crate page or on its edit page. You will then be given instructions and a code to get that item onto your phone.
What is a Screensaver?
A Screensaver is an animation that plays when a mobile phone is idle. These animations are animated GIFs and are easy and fun to create when you follow our guidelines.
What is a Ringtone?
A Ringtone is sound that plays when a mobile phone rings. There are two types of Ringtones available on Mamogo: Realtone and Polytone. A Realtone or 'Music Tone' plays actual music or sound clips compared to a Polytone or 'Polyphonic Tone' where synthesized instruments mimic the original to produce a semi-realistic representation of the song
What type of Content is not allowed on Mamogo?
Unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, nude, harassing, or racially, ethically or otherwise objectionable; items that condone illegal activity, promote violence, promote discrimination, promote illegal activities, or incorporate any materials that infringe or assist others to infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights are prohibited. What is a Video?
Most mobile phones now allow you to play videos. Record your own Videos and easily get them on your phone so you can watch them any time. The following file formats are supported on Mamogo: MP4 & 3GP.
How do I add Content to my Content Inventory?
To add an item to the Content Inventory all you have to do is click on the button that says "Upload New Content" or click on the item in the menu on the left that says "Upload New Content".
Then, simply follow the instructions of the wizard:
  1. Choose the file on your computer that you wish to upload. Click Next
  2. You will be asked to name your Content, Describe it, add Tags to it, Price it. Click Next
  3. You will have the option to use credits to Upgrade your listing. Click Next
  4. There will be a summary about your Content. If you are satisfied click Finish.
  5. Your Content is now in the Content Inventory! Now that it is uploaded and in the Content Inventory it will be up for sale on Mamogo!
What is the Selling Status of Content all about?
The Selling Status tells you what state your Content is in whether it's Active, Private Use Only or Withdrawn.
  • Active Content is Content that is for sale on the Marketplace.
  • Private Use Only is Content that is for your private use. It is not for sale in the Marketplace.
  • Withdrawn means that a piece of Content is no longer for sale.
One of my pieces of content is missing. Where did it go?
Your piece of Content may have been deemed inappropriate. Once a piece of Content has been deemed inappropriate it is reviewed and may be removed from Mamogo. You will receive an email notification that your Content is inappropriate, and has been removed.
What is a Scheme?
A Scheme is something that changes the appearance like the color and background of your content listing. There are three types to choose from: Get Noticed, Stand Out & Sure To Sell. Try them for yourself and see how each enhance your listing!




Is my phone able to download a wallpaper?
In general, wallpapers can be downloaded on mobile phones with color screens. You will also need a mobile Internet-capable phone and an Internet package included in your carrier subscription plan. Please check with your service provider for more information.
Why can't my phone receive downloads?
Not all phones are capable of receiving downloads. Not all mobile carriers allow downloads on their network. Please visit your carrier website for further details or inquiries.
What should I do with the download link I received?
  1. Open the message sent to your phone.
  2. Scroll down to the download link.
  3. Click on the link and the download will start automatically.
  4. When the download is finished, just save it.
Important notice: To ensure proper delivery, never click any buttons during the download! Simply wait until the download is finished.
Are all phones able to download new ringtones?
Unfortunately, most phones manufactured in North America before 2002 are unable to download new ringtones. In addition, certain phone models and some mobile phone carriers block users from adding new ringtones from web sites
What should I expect when purchasing mobile content from MAMOGO?
Typically there are 3 messages sent to your phone, and you are required to respond to one of them. When a user participates in a premium service, they are required to double opt-in. In general, the series of steps you will encounter are as follows:
  • Each piece of content on Mamogo has a content code. You need to text this content code to our shortcode (Single Opt-In)
  • Receive (1st) text message to your phone that requires your confirmation
  • Send a text message reply to confirm purchase request (Double Opt-In)
  • Receive (2nd) text message with a link for download
  • Click the link to initiate the download on your phone
  • Receive (3rd) text messages confirming successful completion of download
I had a problem part way through my download. What can I do?
The link you clicked to initiate the download process will still be active for a short time. If you experienced problems during the download process, simply go to the SMS message and click the link again.
How do I unsubscribe from MAMOGO services?
To end ongoing services, text "STOP" to 626646 using your mobile phone.
What happens when my phone receives the selected piece of mobile content?
Your phone should automatically recognize the message. Although every phone model is different, you may be prompted to listen, view, load, download, or store the message. Simply follow the instructions on your phone. You may also need to access the "media" area of your phone after the download is complete, in order to apply the ringtone or wallpaper as the current one on your phone.
I received an error message when I tried to download my wallpaper. What happened?
Your mobile phone might not be able to download color wallpapers. It is also possible your wireless Internet connection may be unavailable through your carrier. Please contact your service provider.
I've had a problem receiving my download. What should I do?
Binary media (i.e. ringtones, wallpapers, games, etc) are usually delivered to your phone in what is called a WAP Push. WAP Push needs to be enabled on your mobile phone. Depending on the make and model of your phone, you need to set the WAP Push setting to "On", "Allow all", "Always", or "Receive all". On some carriers you may need to have MMS enabled as well.

How can I get Customer Support information?
You can receive Customer Support info at any time; just text "HELP" to 626646 using your mobile phone or email support@mamogo.com.
How many pieces of mobile content can I download?
You can select as many as you'd like, however each purchase must be made individually. The amount of storage space available for downloads varies by phone. Check your phone manual or carrier's web site for more information as some carriers have monthly spending limits.
How will I be billed for mobile content purchases?
Since all content is sold through Premium Short Message Service (PSMS) you will simply see a charge on your regular monthly carrier bill.
My download link has arrived, but I can't find it on my mobile phone. Where is it?
The download link is in the body of a message sent to your mobile phone. Depending on the make of your phone, this message will go to your text or WAP Push inbox, also known as a "Service Inbox", "Funbox", "Browser Message Inbox", or simply "Push Inbox".
